Vision

The MQC Community Development Office with its exceptional services is committed in engaging our students in the different in-reach and outreach activities that serve as venues and opportunities for them to become socially responsible and good citizens of the country.


Mission

As an office, we are committed to do the following:

  1. We enhance the social, political, economic, environmental awareness of our students through exposure and involvement in the different in-reach and out-reach activities.
  2. We develop programs and initiate projects that answer the needs of our underprivileged students, especially the Aetas, who might be at risk of discrimination because of culture.
  3. We encourage the spirit of volunteerism among our students, teaching and non-teaching employees.
  4. We are dedicated to community service by sharing our time, talent and treasure in responding to the needs of the whole person (body, mind, spirit) in our school and other communities that are in dire need of help and assistance.
  5. We foster climate of love, care, generosity, service, compassion and spirit of community to our stakeholders in thought, in word and deed.
  6. We offer a range of services like educational, social, spiritual, and socio-economic to our less fortunate brothers and sisters.

The Community Development Office aims to assist and engage students in the awareness of their social responsibility. Its primary concern is to involve and provide venues for them to display the value of respect, compassion, service and generosity that would help them in their Integral Formation.


Objectives

  1. To provide venues for the students where they can be of service to other people by sharing their time, effort and talents.
  2. To offer intensive assistance to the underprivileged students, particularly the Aeta scholars in their mental, social, spiritual development in order for them to become empowered students.
  3. To extend services to its nearby community, different agencies and institutions by developing programs that will answer some of their needs.
  4. To encourage the spirit of volunteerism among students, teaching and non-teaching for them to realize the value of social responsibility.
  5. To provide training programs for the Community Development Volunteers in order for them to be fully aware of what and who a volunteer is.
  6. To help the students in their Integral Formation by enhancing the awareness level of their social responsibility through exposure and through involvement with the different programs and activities.

 

First Year

At the end of the School Year, the students of MQC are expected to have achieved the following:

  1. To make them aware of the existence of the Community Development Office that aims to help them in their Integral Formation.
  2. To encourage the students to join in the In-reach and Outreach Program of the school by providing venues for them where they can use their time, treasure and talent.
  3. To make them realize the importance of being socially responsible by their involvement in the different activities.
  4. To improve their personality through interaction with other people.

 

Second Year

  1. To heighten the spirit of volunteerism on their part as students.
  2. To be aware of the economic, social, emotional and physical needs of people.
  3. To acquire interpersonal skills through service by exposing them into realities and situations of people who are less fortunate.
  4. To improve their social interactions with people.
  5. To expose them into realities and situations of people who are less fortunate and to encourage action on their part to help them.

 

Third Year

  1. To raise their level of awareness on their responsibility in helping the people who are less fortunate in society.
  2. To display consistency of generosity and compassion in terms of helping those who are in need which are expressions of being a good Christian not only in the community where they live but everywhere.
  3. To immerse them into realities in life which provide them more venues to help others.
  4. To make them participate in community programs that aims to help the needy.
  5. To increase the opportunities to be of help and to be of service to humanity.

 

Fourth Year

  1. To realize the value of helping the unfortunate as a manifestation of their Christian formation.
  2. To make it spontaneous on their part to help anybody who is in need.
  3. To manifest the value of respect, honesty, compassion, care and generosity in their everyday life.
  4. To see in their day to day life that Integral Formation has been realized with their four years of stay in the MQC community.
  5. To make the vision and mission be realized in their thoughts, words and deeds.
